Parents as Partners in Learning
Parents play an important role in their child's education. It is important that both parents and teachers work together.
Parents should make sure to designate a quiet area for their child to be able to work on their homework. The students should spend 20 or minutes reading. It's a great oppurtunity for students to read to their parents but also for parents to spend time and read to their child. When reading, go over new vocabulary and ask them questions such as " what do you think will happen?" and "what was your favorite part and why?"
While you driving them to school, this is a great chance to work on their math facts. Ask them a fact and have them tell you the answer.
